Datsun 620 KA24DE-T Turbo Overview
This is an overview of how I set up my turbo in my 1973 Datsun 620. If you have a question, please leave a comment. I will update on how it does after I put a couple thousand miles on it. Below is a list of some of the components and some other data.
-Radiator is a modified stock 620 radiator. I had an extra row put into it and routed the overflow to the drivers side.
-Intercooler piping is made up of modified piping from a CXRacing Kit for a 1995 240SX and from a cheap amazon kit. amzn.to/3XaoPNQ
-Turbo, Pulsar 4849G with internal wastegate running 6psi
-IAT Sensor is an ACDelco GM sensor amzn.to/4bOVQUi
-ECU is a MegaSquirt PNP2 www.diyautotune.com/product/nissan-240sx-1995-1995-1997-sentra-200sx-altima-mspnp-gen2-plug-and-play-ecu/
-MAP sensor is built into the MegaSquirt
-Intercooler is for a Honda Civic from CXRacing (should be bigger)
-Manifold is the 11 gauge one from CXRacing (a custom manifold or log manifold might be better for this truck with such a small engine bay)
-Downpipe is unfortunately 2.5 inches right out of the turbo so that it could fit down between my torsion bars (i believe a three inch would free up a few HP)
-Injectors are WRX 550cc injectors amzn.to/4c4Oj3x
-Fuel pump Walbro 255 amzn.to/4bDGEcF

3:58 , first of all I want to say thank you for linking the tire valve. I’ve spent 2 days looking for what it was and couldn’t find it anywhere but here. Secondly I know that it was said in a comment above however is there anyway you could demonstrate how the valve comes apart? I don’t want to buy one and then try and take it apart and ruin it. Thanks!

I bought a CX about 3 weeks ago. I have put about 250 miles on it and I love it. At this point I would happily rescue any CX barn find and work to get it running so others can ride this thing. Every day I feel like I want to just get on it and ride it all over the US on an epic road trip. It's the only bike I've owned that makes me feel like that even though by any objective standard it's the worst bike I've ever owned. But I love it.

Yes, and then you can use a pre-made 50/50 coolant mix. Like red 50/50 for Asian vehicles. Toyota purists would say to only buy the Toyota red coolant. In all honesty, I have never had a problem with flushing with tap water then filling with proper coolant.

FYI you worked why to hard getting the rubber boot back on. The LED's bulbs themselves come attached to the round platform that the spring lays on top locks down on. The LED is attached by 2 tabs and all you do is turn to the left and pull up at the same time. It comes off then place the rubber boot on then line up the tabs on the LED and turn right lightly until it stops. DONE!

Legend! Thanks for the tips!! For accuracy sake, the hot doesn’t “mix”. The AC button engages the compressor, which pumps gas through the refrigeration system, cooling an inside coil. The mixing valve directs hot (radiator) water through a seperate coil. The air is both refrigerated and heated by seperate systems.

Hey nice video! I am a little confused though. I'd really appreciate if you clarify. You removed one plug from the original head unit and there are two more laying around, my question is all three plugs are out of stock Landcruicer 80 series wiring but only one was plugged in to the original head unit, and now with the after market one are we going to utalize all of them? And secondly what about speaker wiring? How many speakers does your head unit support? 80 series came with total of at least 8 speakers plus 1 subwoofer ( 2 in the dash, 1 in each door and 2 for the third row plus 1 sub in the back). Have you connected all of them? A little clarification and advise would be highly appreciated, oh and lastly what about the original amplifier? Did you bypass your stock amplifier? If yes which wire/plug did you not use or used instead. Thanks

    • @jeepingneatus
      @jeepingneatus Рік тому

If I remember correctly those extra connectors are for the LX450 with factory amp. Your 8 speakers I think are running on four channels. Just hook the four channels up to run all the speakers. I no longer have my 80 so I can't verify this but I think I am correct.
